Economic Power

Economic Power

Empowering women and girls economically is key to breaking cycles of poverty and fostering long-term change. One in every 10 women is living in extreme poverty (10.3 per cent), while 40% of the global female population still lacks access to formal financial services. Women are 20% less likely than men to have bank accounts, and 17% less likely to secure formal loans.

Our economic support programs are specifically designed for women and girls in under-served communities, equipping them with the skills and resources they need to achieve financial independence.

Our Approach:

  • Skill Development: We provide training in business management, vocational skills, and digital literacy to help women build sustainable careers.
  • Entrepreneurship Support: Girls and women are empowered to launch small-scale businesses, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to their families and communities.
  • Access to Financial Resources: We facilitate access to micro-loans, savings programs, and mentorship networks to ensure long-term economic stability.

By creating opportunities for women to gain economic independence, we not only uplift individuals but also strengthen entire communities, paving the way for a more equitable and prosperous future.

Through education, community outreach, and strategic partnerships, we are breaking cycles of violence and creating a safer future for all.

For too many girls, completing their education does not guarantee access to decent work. The gap between school and employment is wide, and without guidance or opportunities, many young women are left behind.

To help close this gap, we run CV and skills clinics that prepare girls for the world of work. These sessions focus on practical tools such as CV writing, interview preparation, communication skills, and workplace confidence. By building these foundations, we give girls the tools to present themselves with strength and clarity.

Alongside this, we organise career fairs that connect young women directly with employers, mentors, and professional networks. These fairs are more than introductions. They create pathways, open doors, and make sure that talent does not go unnoticed simply because opportunity is out of reach.

Our aim is simple: to ensure girls leave education not only with knowledge but with the skills, connections, and confidence to step into meaningful careers. By bridging the gap between learning and livelihood, we help unlock potential and create lasting change.
