Georgia Sherry is currently working at Chatham House, The Royal Institute of International Affairs, where she manages a portfolio of major supporters, cultivating relationships between high-net-worth individuals and the institute’s experts and research programmes.
Alongside her role at Chatham House, Georgia is pursuing an MSc in Sexual and Reproductive Health Policy and Programming at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. For her final project, she undertook a placement at a maternal and neonatal health clinic in Ifakara, Tanzania. Based on this placement, she is now compiling a report on best practices for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
Before joining Chatham House, Georgia held roles with several international NGOs, including RepresentWomen in Washington, DC; the CMMB in New York; and Globalteer in Peru. At Globalteer, she led a community-based research project exploring barriers faced by girls in rural Cusco in accessing education and healthcare, which led to the launch of a girls’ empowerment programme.
Georgia also serves on the board of The Haven Trust, a small family foundation dedicated to improving the lives of children and adolescents in rural Kenya.
She holds a BSc in Politics and Social Policy from the University of Bristol. (UK, Europe)
