Hope Gee Williams
Waging Justice for Women Fellow, Clooney Foundation

Hope Gee Williams is a passionate human rights advocate and legal professional from Malawi. She currently serves as a Waging Justice for Women Fellow with the Centre for Human Rights, Education, Advice and Assistance (CHREAA), an initiative of the Clooney Foundation for Justice. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from the University of Malawi and has served as a Senior Legal Aid Advocate at the Malawi Legal Aid Bureau.
She is the Country Coordinator for Fula Africa in Malawi, tackling human trafficking and migrant smuggling. She is also a co-founder of Awake for Change, a grassroots initiative supporting women and girls in rural areas.

Her expertise spans legal advocacy, migration management, and gender equality. She is deeply committed to strategic litigation and building rights-based solutions for marginalized communities in Malawi and beyond. Among her achievements is the successful rescue and repatriation of human trafficking survivors and her role in facilitating the enactment of by-laws against child marriage in traditional communities. Passionate about empowering marginalized groups, particularly women and children, Hope Gee’s advocacy is driven by her belief in equality and justice for all.
